We loved our stay in Poipu! Location, location, location. Perfect for a family stay. Great communication and real care from the host Chris. Thoughtfully set up, lots of extra amenities, and tons of clear signage to help us quickly get oriented to the house. We stayed during a Kona low and felt safe and secure in the home while still seeing waves right from the lanai!

This house was a spectacular place to stay for our vacation! The view of the ocean from the lanai was fabulous, we were able to watch whales breaching in the ocean from the comfort of this home! Chris was a welcoming host, very responsive to questions, and best of all, the accommodations exceeded our expectations.We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the balcony, the well-stocked beach gear room, and the quick walk to the beach.Most of us took morning and evening walks to check out the turtles on the beach. The kids rented surfboards and even took a lesson.Having stayed at other properties in Poipu, this is now our new favorite for family trips!

Chris is a dream host, having reached out before our trip to provide the keyless access code and internet password, address (of course), a useful car rental and airport tip, and even asked if there were any special requests. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a personalized welcome letter, a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts (delicious BTW) and emergency phone numbers for both him and Theresa. He even checked-in (via VRBO) to make sure that our stay was going well. The house is absolutely beautiful, a stunning view of the beach and Pacific Ocean, a short walk to two beaches (including the infamous Poipu beach where sea turtles come to shore each night) and the famous Puka Dog. The home was clean and welcoming, very well stocked, and you could even say that it’s a VRBO renter’s dream.

Chris, the owner has very quick in responding to any questions or needs. The kitchen is adequately equipped. There were plenty of towels and basic toiletries in the bathrooms. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the beach is a two minute walk.Our family had a wonderful stay.

Host was communicative during the tsunami evacuation. Fully stocked with snorkels, beach chairs, towels. Definitely not the Four Seasons but a very welcoming perfect spot for families!

This was one of the best vacation rentals I've stayed in! The pictures do not do the view from balcony/deck justice. The property is a 4 minute walk to the beautiful Brennecke Beach (see photos) and maybe 10 minutes to Poipu Beach Park, with calmer waters and snorkeling. The house has everything you need for the beach. From sun products to outdoor showers, the house had it all. We even did yoga in the side yard in the mornings. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Kauai! Our group of 6 loved being so close to Old Kōloa Town and most activities were less than 20 minutes away.

FAMILY HOLIDAY

This rental is outstanding!!! The house is so close to Brennecke's and Poipu Beaches.Literally 4 min walk.The house is equipped with everything you will need. From anything beach related, to a well stocked kitchen. If you think you may have forgotten something in the way of toiletries, just look in the cabinet in the upstairs bathroom. it is stocked with everything. The house was very clean and well maintained. The owner Chris is the nicest man!!! We were welcomed with a basket with coffee and fruit. I really can't say enough good things about this rental except we didn't want to leave. Thanks again Chris!!

This great property is located one block off the beach with many outstanding amenities. The two separate floors made it easy for our young granddaughter to sleep with a monitor while we viewed the ocean and whales from the patio. Amazing Location and House

Overall, the property had everything we wanted during our stay in Poipu. The house was spacious, clean and stocked with all the right amenities. It was walking distance to beaches and came stocked with everything you would need at the beach. The owner was very communicative and the checkin/checkout process was very easy. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Place is all anyone would want. View of ocean, close to beach like 3 houses. Boogie boards, fins, masks, flip flops, suntan lotion of all types, mustard, mayo, ketchup and most spices, puzzles for down time, lounge chairs for beach, umbrellas and cart to take all the stuff and much more. Air in all bedrooms and in living rm upstairs along with ceiling fans. Side patio downstairs with great breeze with table & chairs & upstairs sitting for 8 with 2 tables. Mahalo Chris. Everyone loved the place.

A fantastic home 100 yards from the ocean!

This house was perfect for the 6 of us and the host Chris was so helpful and attentive. The house is 100 yards from the ocean and had all the amenities we needed. It is also stocked with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc. Look no further for your place to stay in Poipu. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone visiting Kauai.

Best Vacation Ever!

Lovely home to spend a week in Kauai. Clean and extremely well stocked with additional items typically not provided in rental properties (toiletries, paper products, number of beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, etc.) Chris (the owner) stopped by to bring us some fresh fruit and removed some ripe bananas from the property's tree. Along with the additional fruit we purchased, we make unbelievable smoothies during the week. The location could not be better. Two minute walks to see sunrises and sunsets at Poipu Beach. We drove over 800 miles during our 9 days visiting so many beautiful beaches, sites and hiked several half and all day trails. Also always fun to stop and shop at some great outdoor malls. We were so fortunate that the weather was perfect the week between Christmas to after New Years. Chris sent a thoughtful thank you text after our stay and we replied that we hope our future travels take us back to their home and Kauai. If you are thinking of staying at this home you don't be disappointed!

Kauai December Vacation

We chose this location because we read that good weather in the winter is on the South Shore and we were not disappointed. Brennecke's Beach for riding the waves was just a short walk and with a beach cart available it made carrying chairs, boogie boards, snorkling gear, etc (all of which Chris has available!) an easy trek. Poipu Beach located adjacent to Brennecke's is great for snorkeling. And the location is an easy drive from the airport as well as convenient to Costco and Walmart for grocery runs. Chris was a wonderful host and his place provided an inviting and comfortable place to stay during our visit. Should we find an opportunity to return to this beautiful island, we most certainly would choose to stay at Chris'.

Poipu Beach Rental

Great location in Poipu - easy walking to Brennecke's, Poipu and Waiohai Beach. House was well equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers etc. Host was very responsive to any texts.

Wonderful host

The house was beautiful -- clean, all the appliances worked and close to the beach. The host was truly outstanding. I had one minor problem, texted him, and he replied immediately and fixed it on our schedule. He also told us some history of Kauai only a local would know!

Chris was a fabulous host, and the house was terrific to stay at. Steps to the beach, which we did every day, nice and quiet in the evenings. We will look forward to returning again in the future for another fun filled week!

Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect with a quick walk to two of the best beaches (Brenneckes & Poipu). Plus the layout of the house is great (where the downstairs quarters could be completely secluded if one desires). The host was great and easy to work with. We already miss waking up to that ocean view every day!
