"All in all excellent, ticked absoloutely all boxes for our requirements. Needed a "Staging Post" as early check out from holiday accomodation and very late flight time. On arrival reception staff very pleasant and helpful, in fact our room was ready for us earlier than normal time. "Our stay at the Royal Sun Hotel was perfect. The room with the sea view and balcony was of a high standard, clean and comfortable. The Hill restaurant, where we ate breakfast each day, had a stunning view overlooking the old port and the sea, and was a delight to sit at each morning. "The rooms were spacious, the buffet breakfast delicious and the staff was very friendly. However, our key didn't work. I had to go to the lobby 7 times for this, which was a hassle. Also, in a 5 star resort there should be some things for kids to play with in the pool and more pampering amenities in the room, beside the obligatory shower cap. Also, a free shuttle to Chania would have been a big advantage. "
