"This is the place to stay in Chania! We traveled to Greece in late April for Easter and stayed 3 nights at the hotel Porto Veneziano. It's the perfect spot! It's nestled into the back of the inlet with a fantastic view of the lighthouse. Right on the water! Most of the foot traffic is from those going the lighthouse. Otherwise, especially at night, the walkway is quiet. Despite being set back from the harbor, from the Veneziano it's an easy stroll to the many shops, restaurants, and tavernas Chania has to offer. Also, the hotel is a great launching point to various day trips. We went to the Elafonisi beach (they loan you beach towels). Port Veneziano itself is just what you would expect from a classy waterfront hotel. The hotel lobby is comfortably clean as are the rooms. If the weather is right they can open the doors to the many outside tables with umbrellas. All this with service, morning til night. On the bar side there is a delightful terrace with tables to enjoy your morning coffee. They have a great dining room. Breakfast is substantial and stays open til 10:30. The restaurant in the evening serves delicious dishes that deserve mentioning. The parking is free and I was never without a space. It's also in the back and side of the hotel with a gate and security cameras monitored by the front desk. The rooms have balconies and I would look for one facing the water. The staff is one of the things that set them apart. Check in was easy with compliments going out to Vasili"

"We recently stayed at Euphoria Resort in Crete, and it was an incredible experience. We had one of the VIP beachfront rooms (without a pool), and the views were absolutely stunning. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, perfect for relaxing after a busy day with our two small girls. The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making sure we always felt taken care of. There were lots of families staying at the resort, which made it feel even more comfortable and welcoming for our kids. I can’t say enough good things about this resort—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and I would absolutely consider returning in the future when we go back to Greece. If I had to mention two small things (though they’re not really complaints), it would be that in May, the water was still too cold to fully enjoy swimming, both in the pools and the ocean. The other thing was the food. Like many all-inclusive resorts, there were definitely some meals that were better than others, but overall, we were happy with what was offered. All in all, I highly recommend Euphoria Resort if you’re planning a trip to Crete! "

"If you are visiting Chania, staying in old town is exactly where you want to be for easy access to everything, and being very walkable. Monestary Estate Venetian Harbor is just that, and is minutes from the harbor and incredible restaurants and shopping in old town. The hotel is modern, but is very cool to still see original architecture on display through protected glass casing. The front desk staff and dining staff are as friendly as you can get! Breakfast every morning was included with the freshest orange juice, would recommend getting the Cretan breakfast for two every time. Mones restaurant in general is great, get the lamb if you go! We stayed in the design suite with patio and hot tub and it was perfect for what we needed for our trip in Crete. The bed is comfortable. Using the private hot tub at night is perfect for the cool Crete evenings. They have a small pool area that you can reserve for an hour that also doubles as a massage area, which I partook in and was amazing. The location of the hotel is on a small alley, is very peaceful and I felt very safe here. My husband and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon during our time in Crete and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area."
