"I love how accommodating the staff was here. We were nearly an hour late for our dinner but they went above and beyond to serve us anyway. The food was one of the best we've had throughout our entire trip of Japan as well. The room and atmosphere was also very cozy and we loved pretty much everything!"

"We had a very pleasant stay. The food was excellent, everything was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. We especially enjoyed the morning ceremony, which made the experience memorable. On the downside, the stay felt quite expensive by any standard. Considering the price, it was disappointing that every step in the hallway could be heard, and that drinks other than tea were not included."

"Staying at Fugen-in Temple in Koyasan was an incredible experience. The atmosphere is peaceful, the staff are welcoming and kind, and everything was beautifully taken care of. "We enjoyed the ryokan very much for the authenticity of old Japan. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Wearing the yutaka at the property was such a thrill for us. The staff were so friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Such a contrast from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Osaka central. And the view from the 5th floor! Breathtaking. Very convenient to be shuttled from the train station. Thank you again. "

"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!"
