We had a wonderful day at the Aonang Timber House. The staff was friendly and accommodating.Our room was spacious and suited us perfectly. It was away from the downtown, so it was quiet, and there were lots of options for food and shopping! We are also very close to the beach, and transportation to Railay and other destinations, we had a wonderful stay, and we would stay here again!

We really liked this small hotel. The rooms were big enough and the facilities in the room were good. Large fridge, microwave, hairdryer. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was varied each day. The hotel is in a good spot, a short walk to beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. We had booked at short notice, and didnt expect much but were pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again.

We only stayed at the hotel for one night due to our trip to Phi Phi Island. Old room and bathroom. The bed was hard, but the bed linings were clean. The cleaning wasn't the best, when you got to the room you could see that it wasn't very clean, there was hair on the floor and in the bathroom too, the cleaning left something to be desired, the breakfast was basic but okay. Overall it was not worth the amount paid for the accommodation. Location is good, near the comercial area.

The room we stayed in for 4 nights was excellent, very spacious, light and airy. C-107, however, the external installations are in urgent need of extensive renovation. The breakfast was average compared to another hotel in the region where we stayed. As we are vegetarians, we requested that we be allowed to have a hot dish option for us, which we were granted. It is also important to highlight that an employee in the breakfast room behaved inappropriately towards us, as we were collecting some water to drink in a small plastic bottle to take our daily medicines and she snatched the bottle from my hand, saying which was not allowed. We were perplexed by such rudeness.

It was very cheap, so can’t have massive complaints, however it was extremely basic. The room had only one plug socket. The hotel provides water in refillable glass bottles. We checked at reception, who reassured us that it was bottled water that had been poured into the glass bottles, however we are not sure this is true. After drinking their water we suffered from diarrhoea. Be cautious of this when staying there. Despite them advertising like most of the rooms are poolside ones, there are in fact only a few that are and the chances of getting one are low. Our room was in the B block, which was on the front of the hotel and extremely noisy from the main road. The fridge also turns off when removing the key card for the room, so be aware of this when storing any food.

This hotel was at the best location!! We had a 7/11 in rock throwing distance and literally on the strip. It was a short walk to tons of places to eat and shop! Breakfast was included and we ate el frisco every day. The staff was so accommodating. We had excursions every day so only used the hotel for sleeping and showering. The A/C was ice cold, our first room had a leaking A/C which didn’t bother us much but when room service discovered it, they quickly moved us to another room without us even having to ask. At first, sitting on the bed, we thought it was a little too firm. Let me tell you, best sleep ever! We traveled with 4 kids, 9-20yrs old and they would tell you the same! Best sleep on those beds! Also, shower water doesn’t get too hot, which is okay because it is so hot outside, the lukewarm showers felt great. If you are planning to be super busy and out and about, this hotel is perfect and the staff was so nice! Great value and price!
