The heating/ac unit was right above my head and made enough noise where I couldn't sleep. I advised a gentleman at the front desk and the next day he said someone checked and there was no noise. Long story short I ended up booking another nearby hotel and left 3 nights before due, even though I had already paid. There was no attempt to offer another room or offer any compensation. The windows are single pane and the wind made them rattle. The hotel is dated and room was dusty, especially the heater and window area. I gave it a two out of consideration

This is an older hotel, traditionally run. You will interact with human beings checking in, checking out, etc. Western breakfast is mini ( very mini) omelets, French fries, decent coffee and weak orange juice. You’ll have to pay to watch western content on TV. Our room was spacious by Japanese standard, but the bathroom was cramped.
