"We had a lovely stay in Kunming. The hotel receptionist was a very kind boy who welcomed us with a smile and despite having a language barrier was able to communicate to us the essentials. The manager was also very helpful who gave us all the important info through WeChat and also helped us find the right bus to the rice terraces for our next step. "The Grand Park Kunming was an excellent choice for our visit. Everything was perfect. We arrived late at night after a long train ride and were greeted with a snack-bag, a bowl of fruit and flowers. The staff helped us with everything, from taxis, to umbrellas. The neighborhood was safe for strolling at night and we loved walking in nearby Green Lake Park. The fitness center is very well outfitted and it worth the visit just for the views of Kunming. Finally, the breakfast was incredible. ...

"So the hotel is really nice and clean, it's in a good location if you want to get a train and the breakfast in the rotating restaurant was excellent. Sadly the heating in our room didn't work and we had a very cold night with our toddler. Sadly we didn't realise that the heating wasn't working until we got into bed, by that point we just wanted to sleep as we had had a long day travelling and had to wake up early to catch a train."
