This stylish new hotel in Kunming exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable, the gym nicely lit and well equipped, and the food delicious. Both Managers Liu and Jerry were professional. Overall a pleasant stay. I’d come again.

Only major warning and complaint I would have is the hotel front desk charged a "deposite" on check in I thought nothing of it because its an international card. Luckily I was meeting someone who lives in China and when they found out they immediately got a refund. It was explained to me that deposites are not something that is done. Other than that all other areas of service were beyond excellent, the breakfast buffet was fantastic every morning, and the view of the lake from a room that...

Its a good place to stay.

Everything was great for the price. The gym doesn't have a lot of equipment.

Very nice and hospitable staff!

We booked a fun and cute family room. Our kids were happy with the decorations. This is a new and premium 5 Stars hotel, but it is located a bit far from the city center. This hotel is not recommended if you plan to do a shopping at night.

Nice location

I like the personal touch with before bed snacks. Staff is excellent response and friendly.

This hotel could be one of the best Sofitel I have had stayed. Staff were warm and helpful, Dennis at front desk even helped us packed some larger gift items we bought, breakfast was to die for, view of the city and the lake from our room at 37 floor was unforgettable, this hotel has its uniqueness, love our 4 nights’ stay, so enjoyable.

This hotel was a great find! It is very affordably priced with a good location in Kunming. It is within walking distance of a metro station. The main negative feature was the surprisingly dirty carpets in the hallways for the rooms. The lobby area and most common area were all pristine. But, when we got off the elevator to go our room, which was also clean, I was a bit shocked to see carpeting that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, with dirt stains all over the carpet. Another negative...

Breakfast was wonderful and staff was extremely helpful. We love this hotel!

This hotel has exceeded all expectations! Both its quality and service are impeccable—what’s more, it offers abundant added value, such as wellness workshops and afternoon tea. You can truly feel the owner’s dedication to craftsmanship: from the pajamas and slippers to the wooden room keys and negative-ion hair dryers, every detail is thoughtfully curated. Additionally, each room is equipped with a refrigerator stocked with complimentary beverages. It’s genuinely great value for money and easily...

The staff were great, were mostly able to communicate in English, they were peasant and accommodating, were able to extend our room at the same expedia price which was awesome. Really good location and staff helpful with advice and taxi. I will stay here rather than the intercontinental although it is a beautiful hotel but just a bit out of the way and expensive when the Crowne Plaza offers the same function in a better location,

Friendly staff, modern decoration in the room, central location, convenient to everything

I have been traveling in china for about 2 weeks and stayed at various hotels. This holiday Inn by far is the best! From the clean and cozy rooms, to the warm and pleasant staff and excellent location, I would totally recommend any length of stay here.

Really nice location. Nice food street virtually next door. Easy DiDi ride to wherever you want to go if you dont like walking. I like walking . Great lounge for afternoon tea or coffee on the 5th floor. Take advantage of it. Staff was all very kind and helpful
