Staff was great. Castle view I paid for, didn’t see the castle behind the shrubbery. No AC which we expected but also no ventilation. Couldn’t open window on ground floor for safety reasons so ended up with a downgraded room on 2nd floor so we could open door for air. Spa and pool was better than expected. Location was great for the fortress. Breakfast was good.

Godt hotel med fin placering

Godt ophold. Fint spa område. God placering i byen og ved fort. Rart med lade stander på den gratis parkering. Evt kunne opgradrring være køleskab på værelse.

asiallinen hotelli, mutta kiinteistön kunnossapidossa kehitettävää: saunan lauteet huonossa kunnossa, oven käynti huono saunassa, huoneestamme puuttui aluksi Bide-suihku,joka tosin korjattiin pikaisesti vikailmoituksen jälkeen Aamiainen monipuolinen ja runsas sekä ravintolatilat siistit Asiakaspalvelu asiallista, hieman enemmän ystävällisyyttä kaipaisi. Se tosin oli tyypillistä muillekin alueen ravintoloille.

Modern but not many amenities

The room was clean and modern, except no air con, kettle or fridge. It did have a TV though and the door opened all the way to let some fresh air in but as I was on the ground floor I couldn't leave it open while I was out of the room. Like most sliding doors in Estonia though it can be left so it's only open at the top. Breakfast was great although not much was topped up in three last hour. Coffee machines had medium or dark roast options and are in the room next to the rest of breakfast Spa was empty between 10-12am but busy in the evenings

I think there should be 2 parts to this : the hotel part is very dated and could use some upgrade, shower was smelly and not the cleanest I've seen. The outside of the hotel could also use a clean, not very appealing. Good breakfast buffet with local foods that are delicious. Staff was lovely and very helpful all around. The spa, pool, sauna and lobby areas are brilliant however and suit a multitude of needs and tastes. Pool area not quiet in the afternoons with kids, but to be expected in a family hotel so not a deal breaker.
