I really love the design of the lobby and hallways – it feels very Zen. The guest rooms are larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms. The onsen (hot spring) is also excellent – after your bath, there are free ice cream, drinks, and snacks available. There's also self-service laundry equipment. The hotel is very close to the subway station, located in a quiet neighborhood. It's just a 10–15 minute walk to the bustling Shijo shopping district and Takashimaya department store. Overall, it was a perfect experience. Highly recommended!"

Hotel is clean, has everything you need, shower was really spacious better than other hotels, feels new. Overall on my trip to japan this was the best hotel i stay in. The only downside we found was the breakfast selection in the morning was somewhat limited, but if you are looking to spend a few days in Kyoto this is a great hotel to do it at!"
