The location is excellent, minutes walk to restaurants, shopping, Yubatake and Sainokawara Park. The room was spotless and the staff was so helpful. The on-site onsen (female side) was boiling hot! The only minor inconvenience was that cars were parked offsite so you needed to coordinate with staff each time you needed your vehicle.

Great quality food and Onsen. Very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is a quick walk to the Yubetake and main shopping street. We got new yukata and night clothes each day.

Our stay at TOU was truly relaxing, the hotel condition was excellent, everywhere was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful, they shared great recommendations of ‘must see attractions’ delivering unique and memorable experience of Kusatsu Onsen. We had the half board, stayed 2 nights there, the dining experience was amazing, great food, well-decorated dishes and polite staff. Our highly recommended stay at Kusatsu.

I had a wonderful stay at Urakusatsu Tou in Kusatsu, Japan. The hotel is very clean, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet area yet it is walkable to the main area. There is a lot of dining option and I also like the fusion Japanese/French dinner. Tasty and elegant. The parking is also easy. We had the room with the private onsen. Love it!!

Lovely central and authentic modern hotel

Overall a nice authentic experience in a convenient location. Only let down by uncomfortable beds and lack of drinks available from the bar after 10pm! The authentic japenewe breakfast was beautifully presented but there were no other food options if it was not to your liking. Rooms were clean well equipped with nice bathrooms. Hotel very central and within easy reach of the main centre.

The dinner that we had for 2 night was superb, presentation and taste like a Michelin star restaurant. Room was spacious with a view, staff were attentive and willing to help with any requests even at night. BF box tasted good. Within walking distance from bus terminal and maybe that’s why the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle bus service which we needed due to our large-sized luggage

A Relaxing Stay with a Western Feel

The room was spacious, with high ceilings and large windows. We stayed for one night, and it was comfortable. The dinner was just okay, but the breakfast was delicious. The only downside is that the men's and women's onsen baths didn't switch, unlike other onsen hotels I've stayed at. This hotel has a more Western style It's not a traditional onsen ryokan. But overall was a great experience!
