"The hotel has an amazing spa and good beds, but the service is flat or nonexistent and the rooms could use an update. Especially the mold in bathroom. As other guests comment: the amount of add ons and lack of basic amenities (coffee/snacks throughout day, more varied food options, room amenities) was a turn off. Parking is badly designed and I feel awful for the older/less mobile as they navigate to/from hotel with belongings. There also seems to be a lack of staff. Finally, I tried multiple...

"The property changed hands since I booked. Expedia failed to inform me of this change. I wish I had known the complementary breakfast is now discontinued and that reception closes at 4pm. Thankfully the person i phoned was helpful in explaining how to access my room."

"The property is nice and spacious. The rooms are comfortable. Two upgrades would help greatly. Currently guests who may have heavy baggage with them due to the length/duration of their stay have to lift/haul it up the stairs in multiple places which is highly inconvenient. "Large but empty tired rooms, with no room amenities you might expect. Definitely not hygge. No international tv channels. Other than the expensive hotel restaurant, local walkable options very limited. More bed & breakfast vibe than hotel. Breakfast decent if entirely repetitive (Awful coffee)."

"Hotel Brinkly is a charming little family run hotel. It is a beautiful old building perfectly positioned just opposite the beach and with forest behind. "I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Skandia. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect - a short walk from the train station. The castle was also only a short walk. The street food centre was also very close with some excellent choices."
