Beautiful Family Villa With Heated Swimming Pool And Stunning Sea/Mountain View
8/10 Good
"Delightful property in beautiful surroundings. Fantastic private pool. Unfortunately host absent through illness without adequate thought given to queries (previous reviews stressed wonderful host). Neither Very difficult steep lane nor obligation to feed 2 cats twice per day were mentioned in property info or in our communication with owner/ host. We had to deal with serious ant problem caused by cat food. Not what you want while on holiday! Very disappointing. "
Traditional houses a breath of fresh air from Manikia ''PetzlRocTrip''
10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautifully restored traditional house in a stunning mountain village, very close to all the climbing areas in "Manikia". Extremely well equipped, with all basic supplies, and lovely gifts of olive oil, wine, eggs, and homemade cake on arrival. There is a little seating area outside where you can sit and watch the comings and goings of village life. The village taverna is next door, serving great food, which was really convenient since closest other taverna is a 15 mins drive away. Fabulous cafes in the square in Manikia 5 mins away...lovely Iannis and Katarina serve a mean breakfast omelette. Fantastic rural base for climbers or anyone who appreciates traditional Greek culture and scenery."
"Myself and my three children stayed eight nights at Alonia Cottage in the lovely village of Vrisi during the last week of July 24. We couldn't have asked for better.
The cottage was immaculate and fully equipped with A/C, Wifi and everything you could possibly require during your stay. There is a little shop just around the corner and a couple of popular Tavernas within a three minute walk. We visited the beautiful, quiet Mourteri beach most days which is about a fifteen minute drive, but there are several others up towards Kymi which are also nice and all within half an hour. I believe the area is also good for rock climbing and walking. Obviously a vehicle is required if you want to get about Evia.
Finally, Maria and her brother and mum who run the property are lovely, helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't have wished for better. Efcharisto poli!"
