Very hospitable stay in Kyoto

The Intergate was really beautiful, very comfortable, and a great stay in Kyoto. We arrive late in the afternoon, were hungry and tired and were thrilled to find a complimentary happy hour with a variety of treats and drinks. What a welcome! The facility had everything we needed and found our connecting rooms perfect for our family of 4.

The Sento was always clean and never overcrowded. The Room was confortable and spacious. The complementary coffee was very good. They even had complementary massage chairs in the sento's lounging area ! Very agréable stay.

The hotel staff were all super kind and accommodating of any questions/concerns, amenities on site included some kind of snack or drink service at all hours, and requesting fresh towels and room cleaning was a super simple intuitive process! Great location for a group of four

We are traveling with our 2 teenagers with two connecting rooms. The rooms are very spacious for all four of us and it's in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, great hotel amenities, highly recommended.

We like the breakfast options as well as their afternoon sembei, wine hour, and ochazuke hour. Having this space available for our group of eight travelers was a plus to let us chat. The staff are excellent at arranging for cabs and other needs. The facility has a public bath too. The laundry only has 2 washers so it can get backed up as the dryers needed 2x to dry. We did a search for coin laundry nearby and found a good one with large washer/dryer units that would complete it in 1 hour that was a couple of blocks away. One of our friends left a duty free package and they found it and shipped it to a relative so we could pick it up later. I have stayed here multiple times now.

I loved the daily free snacks especially the Chazuke in the evening. It was such a great perk and so nice to have a place to quietly sit at the beginning, during or end of the day. We loved the authentic atmosphere, food and staff were extremely helpful. Beds and especially pillows were so soft, luxurious feeling and very comfortable. Room very spacious too. Unfortunately did not try the onsen bath, massage chairs or gym. Next time as we definitely will stay again.

Fine for a basic, affordable hotel in a decent area. Small rooms. Staff either not knowledgeable about dining, airport transportation, etc., or not motivated to help. Breakfast is adequate and somewhat interesting, but hardly changes day to day (despite representations to the contrary)

Proactive front desk

It's a great small hotel with many little touches. It is surrounded by many restaurants in a 15-minute walking radius. Coffee machine with pods in the room. Lounge access for refreshments throughout the day. Wine and cocktails in the evening. Onsen Ok, would be nice if one could open the window. When we arrived there was a smell of freshly brewed coffee in the air. I just mentioned it to the check-in team about the wonderful aroma. Without asking another staff member prepared 2 takeaway coffees for us. Definitely exceeds expectations.
