Clean and comfortable room, great amenities, very close to the bus stop that takes you right into the city centre. Very quiet area, with a good amount of temples and gardens within easy walking distance.

The staff was excellent and helped us to get our luggage transferred to our next hotel. The food and drink options at the cafe are excellent. The hotel itself is also quiet and has a nice communal kitchen and dining area. Overall, a great stay in a quiet area.

Great stay, excellent staff

Everything was great here! Just a heads up, there’s a ¥2,000 fee due upon arrival (it caught me off guard). However, the staff is fantastic, just like this beautiful city.

Great hotel in a cozy area

Great calm location away from the busy tourist areas of Kyoto, very charming area with nice little shops, places to eat and coffee to enjoy. Staff is very friendly and help, the cafe at the hotel itself is great and has friendly prices too, there’s great coffee available (you have to and it yourself) freely in the skate kitchen. Would definitely stay here again

Great place ! Rooms have space, but it has a shared bathroom/shower. Plus side : has a full shared kitchen and the staff was so helpful and nice. We also tasted the restaurant and it as good, nutricious food !

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. The property was clean and close to bus lines. It is located in a lovely, quiet area. Sound transfers easily within the building, but we weren't bothered. We'd definitely stay again!

Interesting place. Small restaurant for breakfast and lunch,with bar. Small lounge with TV. Full kitchen facility on the 3rd floor for customer use. No TV in my room. Otherwise quite modern or renovated.

Nicest hostel style location I have ever stayed at. Staff spoke English very well, made it incredibly easy for a first time traveller. Rooms and utilities were clean and had many ammenities. The Cafe and Lounge below was great to have. with few breakfast options around the area, the cafe being open 6 days a week was amazing. The food and Coffee was 10/10. Will be returning if I ever come back to Kyoto

We enjoyed our stay. Love the beautiful design of this place. The beds were comfortable. Quiet location, but a bit far from train station. We used the bus instead which was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provided welcome drinks. Thank you for the free self service drip coffee and board games in the communal kitchen that we enjoyed as a family.

Above and beyond!

Kefu stays was amazing! The host went above and beyond to help with our luggage. Everything was so comfortable. Just know the closest subway is a 30 minute walk but you can rent bikes at the front desk!

Kefu Stay and Lounge is a compact boutique hotel. As long as you check in before 9 pm the office is attended by two very nice young people who serve a lovely choice of breakfast and lunch at very reasonable prices. All amenities are in the true clean Japanese style with attention to detail. Our room had a hand basin. The individual shower and other individual toilet were next door in the corridor and were lockable. Recommend.
