The hotel is in impecable conditions. The staff is excellent and professional. The Japanese breakfast is a beautiful experience for westerner, particularly if you want a quiet environment away from group tourists. The location is also a must as it is in a quiet neighborhood, close to subway. Highly recommendable.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and a pleasure to stay at. The staff were all very kind, polite, and professional, and their excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. The nearby bakery, soy sauce shop, and shrine are also worth visiting. They are all within a pleasant walking distance and make for a lovely stroll around the neighborhood.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are EXCELLENT ! The hotel is far from everything and although you have shuttle service, you have to deal with the subway... or a taxi. Staff is very nice but unfortunately they don't speak English well enough to understand you... this problem is not only at this hotel, is everywhere!!

We had a beautiful stay here! It's about 10-12 minute walk from nearest metro. Right next to Imperial Castle and isolated, quiet neighborhood. 10-15 minute walk away from many food spots. Rooms are very big and amenities are really nice (robe, masks, etc.).

We enjoyed our stay. The room met our needs and the large bathtub was great. We had room service one tired evening and the food was excellent, presented nicely and tasted great. We had Japanese breakfast at the hotel one morning and it was delicious. The concierge was very helpful in booking taxis to the sites we wanted to see. We were traveling with our 4 year old son, so we just did brief excursions at our own pace, but the hotel staff scheduled the taxis for us and they were always on time and clean. This is a very safe, quiet residential neighborhood. Right around the corner from the hotel is a neighborhood playground. For a family traveling with a young child, this hotel met all expectations. A few things were a bit dated and could do with some renovations, but overall this was a very nice place to stay as a family on our first ever visit to Kyoto.
