Very friendly staff with great communication skill. 10 minutes walk to the Yasaka Pagoda photo spot so its convenient if you want to go early and avoid the crowd.

This is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in, the staff is amazing, the location is excellent!!! we walked to several temples and shrines, pontocho is near and there are a lot of excellent dinning options, pokemon center store and nintendo are just about 20 min walk, the bed was comfy and the room was not tiny!

The hotel has a very traditional Japanese style, the room was slightly larger than the average, 10-min walk to the closest subway station and ladt but not least, in the heart of Kyoto’s Gion district.

The beds were super comfortable, room was generous size, and the area is very quiet. The coffee in the room is excellent. The hotel staff is never especially happy to see you. Perhaps this has to do with the incredible volume of tourists Kyoto has been overwhelmed by in recent years.

The staff was super friendly and they had some very good recommendations for food around the area. The hotel is located 10 min walk from many bars and restaurants and from tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and amenities were good in general. While there were no safes in the room they did have some in the lobby easy to access and right in front of the front desk. Only bad thing was the breakfast offered. The bread was stale and it looked as if it had been there for a week, other than the bread there was nothing and juice was offered in juice boxes.

Staff were very kind. Free breakfast was nice! They also replenished my towels & left them at my door without me even asking, which was nice. My only complaint was that it could’ve been a little bit cleaner. The bed runner on my bed as well as the carpet had multiple visible stains. The walls were also marked up a bit. However, other than that, everything seemed fairly clean.
