Such a great experience staying here. Yasu was very accommodating and gave us excellent recommendations. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The location seemed out of the way at first, but there are tons of great restaurants and cute stores nearby. You are also very close to bus stations and it's easy to get to all the beautiful shrines in the North.
Yasu let us borrow his bikes and recommended grabbing bento boxes by the river and it was one of our favorite experiences.
A beautiful guesthouse well presented and welcoming.
Yasu and burrito are both very happy to have you stay and will make you feel extremely welcome and comfortable.

Authentic Peaceful and Enjoyable
Perfect. B&B in a quiet neighborhood on the northwest end of town. Near subway & buses for easy access to all of Kyoto.
First time sleeping on Japanese futon and it was cozy and comfortable (better than hotel beds in various 3.5 star Tokyo spots). Breakfast was very nice. The vibe is comfortable, peaceful, and authentic. The owner is kind and helpful. A truly great experience.
Traditional homely feel. Very helpful owner when our travel plans were disrupted prior to our arrival in Kyoto. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was the room was a little warm despite the air conditioning - but we were there during exceptionally high temperatures. Despite this I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Kyoto.
Lovely mix of tradition and modernity. The rooms are beautiful and there are only two for guests.
Breakfast features real coffee and fruit which is a luxury in Japan.
Even the futons are pretty comfortable.
