Good value for money
Very well located hotel,on the sea front. All rooms have a balcony. My room was large with a good size bathroom and a typical "Baulois" decor. There was tea and coffee facility and a fridge. The staff are very helpful and very nice. Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold food and is serve in the bar and on the terrace right on the sea front It is right in the centre of La Baule, with car park at the back. It's 10 minutes walk from the train station, close to the main high street and all the shops, restaurants.

Great hotel, very close to the beach
The hotel is positioned right on the front, just a road to cross and straight on the each. Wonderful views from the beach facing rooms. Rooms fairly small but adequate, but the terrace gives wonderful views across the bay.

Poor experience
We were very disappointed with this hotel. The hotel information clearly stated that there was free parking, but after a lengthy attempt to find the car park (no helpful guidance about how to access the parking, despite a complicated one way system!) this amounted to eight places for a 36 room hotel, so we had to park the car some distance from the hotel. The booking information said that the room would be available from 3pm, but on our arrival at 3.25, we were brusquely told the room would not be ready for another half-hour; three quarters of an hour later we got in to the room which had wet floors! There was no welcome and there were no apologies. The reception staff had a "couldn't be bothered" attitude - for example, no explanation about breakfast, no information about the hotel generally and when we left there was just "here's the bill", no thank you nor an "au revoir".

Vivre la Baule
Fantastic situation with lovely views over the bay. Car park access is tricky and is was too small to accommodate all the guests so arrive early as we had to park in an adjacent road . Staff friendly and helpful . The room decor was eclectic but jolly but the bed was only just adequately comfortable. The bathroom was very small but is was clean . The TV was enormous although we didn't watch it to know if it worked . Our romantic weekend didn't include that! There was a little sound transfer through the building but we didn't find it particularly intrusive. I think it is though necessary to pay for the sea view rooms as the balcony overlooking the bay made our weekend superb. I think booking up this hotel without that big plus might result in a little disappointment .
