"Perfect place for a family friendly getaway."

"The floating boat house is in a wonderful location and has everything you need for a peaceful get away on beautiful Norris lake. The owners do a wonderful job decorating and providing a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Very clean and comfortable. We rented a pontoon from Straight Creek Marina and they were very nice and accommodating as well. We absolutely loved our time at “Our Happy Place”"

"The booking process was super easy on Vrbo. Property setting was in a good location. A couple things to consider. Please have a variety of coffee or just regular coffee available for guest. The screen door kept coming off. Needs an exhaust fan in RR or window to open. Curtain rods kept falling out. Curtains in MA bedroom. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay!! Weather was great!! "What a great, cozy place for our weekend adventure! My sister and I had the pleasure of snatching up this floating house for Labor Day Weekend. The place was perfect for the two of us and my dog. The house was equipped with everything one would need. From linens to bath towels, beach towels, floaties, a large cooler, bottled water, coffee, creamer, sugar, Wi-Fi, AC, paddle boards, kayaks, life jackets, washer & dryer, and so on. "My family and I spent the long weekend at anchors away. I have personally been to Norris many times, but never got the whole family to stay together. We all fit comfortably in this large 4 bedroom house with a loft! Large living room and kitchen space. It was nice to have somewhere roomy to sleep. But the main reason we were there was for the lake. The deck was huge, we spent the whole day out there. The waters were calm, got to swim and relax all day. The place could use a little dusting up...

"We have never stayed in a houseboat before and this experience was great! The accommodations were clean and well stocked. We were within walking distance of the marina & less than 10 miles away from the nearest grocery. Best part is that we were able to dock our boat right up to the houseboat. We would absolutely stay again. The cons, if your a Verizon customer you pretty much have NO Service."
