"Very clean. Loved the room. Comfortable beds. Although we did not choose it because of this, the hotel has very cool train related decor throughout. From pictures to large model trains to artifacts from trains to monitors in the lobby with live feeds from the tracks. It is attached to a train museum which we did not visit but the hotel lobby and main hallway felt like a museum. But not cluttered and dark. Still bright and airy. Train enthusiasts would love it. So would people who want a nice hotel with interesting decor."

"It's a nice location. The room and the facilities are clean but old. It's easy to park and there are places to take your dogs even if the hotel isn't dog friendly. So, the hotel works as long as it is not too hot or to cold for your pets to stay in the car."

"Great place to spend time with friends. The living room seating arrangement was perfect for catching up. Very clean and linens were nice. The only down side to the property was a lot of light from outside lights came in through doors and windows. So if you need a dark room for sleeping, bring eye masks! Mexican restaurant next door was very good."

"We were in town for the Truman State University Family Weekend. We have a large family and the house was large enough for everyone to have their own space. The house was spotless and had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We were worried that the commute would be bad because it was 10 miles away but it was all one road and seemed to go very fast. We were so happy that we plan on staying here every year."

"Fantastic! We were a party of 12 adults and 6 children. It was said over and over again throughout our stay how absolutely perfect this property is for a group like ours. There are 2 beds and private bathroom in every single bedroom, as well as a separate rec room on the back of the building perfect for kids to be loud. Ours brought their roller skates and skated the whole weekend. The pool table in the photos was missing which was a bit of a disappointment, but we assumed it had been damaged by prior guests as the pool sticks and pool balls were still there. As mentioned by others, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Even plenty of napkins provided on the huge dining table, and soap provided at every sink throughout the entire building. Plenty of towels & bedding. Fire pits & firewood was amazing. We got a ton of use out of the sandy beach, dock, and canoe! Even played a game of croquet we found in the rec room! Walmart is a quick 15-20 min away. I cannot say enough positive things. We definitely hope to come back!!"
