"My stay at the St. Charles Inn was great, and I wish I could have stayed there longer! The staff at both check-in and check-out were extremely friendly and efficient, and provided some very useful information about the area. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the little coffee bar area was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable as well. The morning breakfast and coffee was a good way to get the day started. As I sat on the couch enjoying my coffee, I looked outside at the patio, wishing I had more time to relax there, and a trolley car rolled by, and I thought to myself this is New Orleans! Can’t wait to go back!"
"The hotel was the perfect location for our visit with Trader Joe’s and good restaurants nearby. Getting to the French Quarter or Magazine Street was a quick drive. The staff were very friendly, the price was good, snd it was great to have free parking on the property. We will definitely stay there again."
"This beautiful property is becoming my preferred place to stay in New Orleans. The St Charles Ave location is great for using the streetcar, walking to restaurants and shopping, and the hotel lobby and room vibes are just so cool and relaxing with friendly staff. Plus there was a refrigerator and microwave in my studio room. Yay! You really feel like you have gotten away from it all. I made use of outdoor courtyard seating and balcony seating. There is available parking in the building for 35 dollars and free street parking across the street. My only concern is that the front door never seems locked or requiring key entry."
St Charles Coach House, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel is in a great historic location with free parking which is why I stayed here for an overnight stay before going on a cruise. The reason for the 4 rating is I think the hotel is very nice has a lot of potential but it really needs a deep deep cleaning. I could see crude in the corner of the bathroom floor and shower. Whom ever is cleaning the bathrooms is not doing a very good job. Our room was very spacious and nice but it didn't feel very clean. The owner needs to really put some time and money into deep cleaning the lobby and outside of the hotel. I will give them some grace for the outside because there was construction next to the hotel."
