"Desidera and Gianfranco treated me like family from the moment I arrived at Dimore di Lecce. Check-in was easy, and they took the time to sit down with me over a map of Lecce, marking restaurants and places worth seeing. Their knowledge of Lecce and Salento set me off in the right direction and laid the foundation for a vacation I'll never forget.
Their restaurant recommendations were excellent, with a great range of local cuisine and dining experiences. They and their responsive staff also pointed me to everything else I needed: where to buy groceries, where to do laundry, how to get around, and which nearby attractions to see. They even helped me receive an important emergency shipment. No question was too much.
Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was an excellent start to each day. I ate in the comfortable shade and the breeze among the potted cacti and olive trees, watching the Duomo's bell tower glow in the morning light, with a lovely spread of pastries and yogurts and freshly brewed espresso and cappuccino.
My room was tastefully appointed and showcased the beautiful historic pietra leccese stone. The location in the heart of the old town made it easy to explore on foot. Wandering through the alleyways felt like something out of a movie.
The beautiful setting was wonderful, but what made my stay truly memorable was the warmth and care of Desidera and Gianfranco. If you're visiting Lecce, look nowhere else, stay here. I can't wait to come back. Grazie mille di tutto!"
