Top La Veta Hotel Reviews

Beautiful cabin near Cuchara Mountain Park.

10/10 Excellent

"Ya’ll, EVERY room has a private bathroom!! It’s out there, but not too out there. Grocery store a little far so stock up. But plenty of shops and trails close. Private deck."

Mil Suite-1-bedroom cottage with surrounding mountain views

10/10 Excellent

"This was a nice location with a cute and comfortable space. It was clear that the hosts had put energy into thinking about what guests would want/need and provided those extra touches. It was particularly convenient to have a space where our dogs could go outside to do their business without us having to worry about their safety."

10/10 Excellent

"The property was perfect for a family wedding. The spaces accommodated all family members, including babies, twenty-somethings, and older couples. There are wonderful community spaces and private areas as well. The location is spectacularly beautiful and convenient to hikes."

Casita Cuchara- condo at base of Cuchara Mountain Park

10/10 Excellent

"Great place for an Autumn get-away. Perfect location -- close to hiking trail above property, and easy access to surrounding trails and such. Close to couple good restaurants in Cuchara and easy drive to surrounding sites. Very quiet -- we were the only folks in our section, so that was nice. Condo was just right for us and our stay. Especially grateful for the easy check-in and follow up contact with the hosts when we had trouble getting the TV to work ... and good continued follow up with hosts as well. We'll be looking to go back sometime!"

Colorado Mountain Retreat on Cucharas River!

8/10 Good

"Overall satisfied. It's in a beautiful location and has convenient parking and easy access (about 5 steps up to porch). Unit is a bit smaller and older than we thought it looked in pictures, but it had pretty much anything you need and comfortable bed. Coffee pods, variety of spices, board games, and even fishing poles and mountain bikes if you want to explore. We had very heavy rain most of our stay, thanks to Hurricane Polo remnants coming into southern Colorado, so spent more time inside than we planned, so glad for the smart tv but be aware there is limited lounging-around seating in the living room area. We love the area so would think about staying again if the price is right and a better weather forecast (obviously not under host's control )!"

Cozy Creekside Cabin in La Veta: Hike & Fish!

8/10 Good

"What a beautiful setting and location! This vintage cabin was just a 1/2 mile to the park and just under a mile to Main Street in Cuchara, perfect for our needs. I had looked through all the photos so I was not surprised at decor inside. The living room is a lot darker though, than in the photos. The house had a feel of My Grandparents' Place, dated and in need of a sprucing up here and there, but welcoming and spacious. The beds were comfortable, the coffee machine worked! Bed sheets downstairs and all the living room window coverings are VERY tired and need to be replaced, but if that doesn't bother you, the place is just great. We loved the porch swing in the back as well as the trickling stream. The rocking chairs out front were perfect for morning coffee. It was nice to have clean seat cushions available for all the outdoor furniture."
