"Our experience at Demeure Flore was exceptional and one of a kind. Fracesco welcomed us warmly and made us the best meal of our trip which we enjoyed in his lovely garden nestled in the French countryside. Our room was spacious and sparkling clean and it was like finding an oasis after a few long days of travel. The only sad thing was we were only able to stay one night. We hope to return some day. "Beautiful family run hotel in an excellent location close to the city walls. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep and lovely little cafe opposite for breakfast. Hotel breakfast is 13 euros per person, substantial buffet breakfast well worth the money. Just an 8 minute walk into the city with lots of beautiful restaurants. Would recommend Hotel Du Pont Vieux to anyone visiting Carcassonne and would definitely stay again if returning."

"Great value, clean and modern with nice design touches, in the rooms and all around the hotel. The view of the Citadel from my window was enchanting by day and by night - and from the restaurant and rooftop, just breathtaking. A short walk to the Citadel or main town, restaurants all nearby. "This was terrific value for money and would happily stay again. While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. All in all, very good."
