Villa James is situated in the heart of Carvoeiro village, Algarve, Portugal.



Just 5 minutes walk to the sandy beach, shops, bars, and restaurants. This well-appointed property boasts spectacular views of the surrounding Carvoeiro Ocean and village. Villa James has been tastefully furnished and designed to a high standard throughout. With balconies that lead out of the living areas where you can admire the wonderful views and enjoy alfresco dining. Villa James is ideal for families, golfers, and extended families. On the upper floor is the lounge / games area and 3 bedrooms, on the lower floor is the kitchen / dining area and 4 bedrooms.



Air conditioning in living areas, private pool, outside dining with BBQ, high speed Wifi, table football and internet TV with international channels including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, Movies, Netflix, Prime and Disney +. A car is not required. 200 meters from the beach. 



Carvoeiro is a fishing village halfway along the Algarve coast, about 45 minutes from Faro Airport. Over the last 15 years, grown to be a sizable holiday resort. However, it has not lost the intrinsic charm, as the development has been sympathetically done, keeping to low-rise buildings in the traditional Algarvian style. This cosmopolitan resort has a wide selection of restaurants and bars, a few nightclubs, boutiques, banks, chemist, local facilities and fantastic beaches.



Tourist Tax came into force on 13 April 2024, in accordance with Regulation no. 425/2024, published in Diário da República no. 72 of 12/04/2024. The tourist tax charge is €2 per night during the high season (April to October) and €1 during the rest of the year (November to March) per person, up to a maximum of seven straight nights for all tourists aged 13 or older. The tax is to be paid either prior or upon arrival.

Check in was easy, with lots of communication from the owners. Kitchen facilities were excellent with ample equipment. Just a very minor comment, some new oven gloves would be good, I kept burning my hands through the ones provided.

We all enjoyed this lovely house. It was clise to everything. The view was amazing. The hills were steep for a few people in our group but the cabs were just down the road. I wish the pool would of been heated. But wecall loved it....

Wonderful vacation

We arrived a little before checkin and arranged to drop off our bags and met the property manager who was so kind and thoughtful. The house is very unique and everyone had their own space. The roof top was super cool and great place to hang out at night. The pool was great for a chill day! We were all super happy with the villa. The town of Carvoeiro was everything we wanted. There were 3 families and we never had a problem getting a reservation or just walking in! There is a big hill but you find ways to work around it and great for a little cardio after all that gelato! Would not hesitate to return here if ever given the opportunity.

Tolles Haus mit viel Platz

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und sauber. In den Küchen ist alles vorhanden was wir gebraucht haben. Sowohl zum Bäcker und Supermarkt, als auch zum Strand bzw an die Küste sind es nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß. Besonders gut hat uns die Aussicht auf den Sonnenuntergang vom Balkon gefallen.

fantastic stay

There was a mixture of 12 adults and children and 1 baby We had a fantastic time . Property is in a great location only minutes from beach ,restaurants and bars . A little bit difficult getting back as it is on a steep hill . Host Isabella was lovely . A really great place to stay . The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is the bedrooms dont have air conditioning apart from that eveything was perfect

Villa for family holiday

This villa was just perfect for our family holiday . It’s roomy and bright with lovely areas outside for us all to use . We could walk into the village and have fun as a group around the pool as well . It’s well appointed so we didn’t struggle to make meals for large numbers . We all agreed it was a fabulous place to stay and would love to stay in the villa again . Whoever has the large jeep vehicle who parks either side of the drive , thus blocking the use of the driveway could be asked to park elsewhere . We had to stop using the drive because of the limited access and exiting . Luckily we had somewhere to go to on the last day as we had to leave at 10 am . Perhaps not being asked to vacate before 10 am would be nice . All in all just great . A great holiday villa in Carvoeiro .

Great villa with plenty of space and superb location

We were a party of 12 and we had a fantastic experience at the villa...so much so that we will be booking again for next year. Location was spot on! Just a couple of minutes walk to beach, bars, restaurants and shops and beautiful walks along the cliffs. Theres a lovely boardwalk along the cliffs which is great if you have children in pushchairs. This leads to a fabulous little beach bar that serves outstanding food! Without a pushchair you can explore for miles along the cliff paths and the scenery is beautiful. Fantastic place and highly recommended!

Perfect.

14 people, 3 generations age range from 67 to 9 altogether for 14 days and not one disagreement. A miracle. The villa was spacious and clean. The pool was cleaned at least 5 times during our stay (after each clean we had to stay out for an hour so a bit inconvenient). The beach and town centre, although only a 5 minute walk, was down a very steep slope, so maybe not recommended for anyone with mobility problems but the taxis and ubers were not expensive. I myself, the eldest of our group had to stop for a rest half way, but thought the calories burned allowed me to drink more wine. so worth it. the first week the weather was perfect, the second week got hotter and hotter so the pool was welcome. The housekeeper was lovely and friendly and at the end of the phone to answer any queries and was very helpful when my son was taken ill.

The property was exactly what we needed and exactly how it was described.

Beautifully situated within really close proximity to shops & restaurants. We got a taxi from the village to the nearest large supermarket on the first day to get all the main supplies and shopped locally after that. We opted not to have a car which was probably a wise decision because there would have been no parking on the street and the entrance to the driveway was blocked the entire week by a van! We used the pool every day and bbq frequently. Such an amazing venue and property for a family of 13 with 5 children. We loved it.
