Top Lagunas de Chacahua National Park Hotel Reviews
Hotel & Club Campestre Altos Paraiso
10/10 Excellent
"What a fun place to stay! There's plenty to do, or not, as you wish. The staff, Fabby and her assistant, Damian, where so helpful. They even made good suggestions for our on going trip. The food is really good as well."
"A nice spot for a quick stay while you check out Santa Catarina Juquila. It's a hilly town so the walking will be tough if you have mobility issues, you have to walk up a steep hill from the hotel to get to the church and shopping areas. The hotel is built on the side of the hill so the ground floor is actually the top of the hotel (if I remember correctly). It has several rooms on the ground/entry floor that are all secure. Parking is non-existent unless you happen to luck out and find space in front of the hotel. "
Beachfront Condo in Peaceful Puerto Escondido at Vivo Resort
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had a fabulous stay at "Sea Paradise" at Vivo Resort. The 2 bedroom apartment is on the ground floor with a beautiful patio overlooking the ocean. A beautiful place to watch the sunset at night. The kitchen is fully equipped plus there are robes, games, and an ice and water dispenser in the fridge. The pool infront of the unit is partially complete but was not being worked on while we were there. The resort itself is immaculate and clean with beautiful gardens. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Loved the air conditioned gym, library with internet, and yoga classes under the grand palapa overlooking the ocean. There are 3 pools - one is adult only and one has a swim up bar. There is only one restaurant but the food was amazing. They had a Thai theme night with tables and lights set up around the pool along with a saxaphone player. They also live music in the bar on the weekends. Not many children or young party people which made for a perfect relaxing stay. The area is remote and down a dirt road but not too tricky to navigate (Use google maps) When checking in, ask for the weekly schedule of events as we did not know about this until a few days into our vacation. Georgina was a great host - very responsive and attended to all our needs. I would definitely recommend "Sea Paradise" and would love to visit again. "
"Beautiful cluster of 8 cabanas, well spread out to feel private. Gorgeous minimal decor. No swimming at this beach - we were told it’s too dangerous. Plunge pool was delicious.
Food is local specialties. breakfast was amazing. Lunch and dinner were about the same menu and lacked variety. Dinner menu would benefit from more options and substantial entrees. Mosquitos at dinner were brutal!
Here’s the big note - there is no store nearby, and no coffee available till 9AM with breakfast. NO COFFEE till 9AM!! There is a reasonably priced mini bar in the room. I strongly advise to Bring your own coffee! (There is a machine in room w Reusable filter or go w instant), drinks and snacks.
No A/C but strong fan and mosquito net was almost cool nights in February.
Taxi from the centro is about $800 MX (40 US) and takes about 25 minutes.
We walked thru Hotel Escondido a mile up the beach and felt really good about spending almost half at Aldea Mizul.
Highly recommend. "
