Now for the negative no receptionist to welcome you. If you go late you stay outside. "This is a sweet alpine hotel set atop the hill of Sinaia. The rooms are large, and it is worth the extra to get a room with a balcony to sit outside beneath the pine forest; and some rooms have a view of the valley. Modern bathrooms and showers, coffee and kettle. Overall fairly quiet on a summer weeknight. Staff is very helpful, allowing me to check in as I arrived early, and the free breakfast was very good with traditional cheeses, meats, eggs, veggies. croissants and pastries. Expect to do a little walking (5-7 mins) to a nearby bus stop if you do not have a car, but Castle Peles is quite close and walkable. Quite happy with my stay at Ioana Hotel and would recommend!"

"Wonderful location in Sinaia - easy walk to everything in town. Good restaurant with international menu and wonderful serving staff, especially Antonio. We did not get a refurbished room so everything in the room was dated but we did get a big, beautiful balcony with a fantastic mountain view. Air conditioning was great! Breakfast was unbelievable - so many choices - one of the best I have ever seen! All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and thanks to our kind driver, Nelu, for airport pickup and later transfer to our hotel in Bucharest. I definitely recommend staying here!"
