Resort is very old and aged. Holes on outside of our bungalow, soft sagging floors, deck filled with mildew and slippery when wet. Front door does seal and light shines thru side. Bedrooms are so small you can not walk around the bed. The couch is old and worn and you sink into it. The blinds are bent. I could go on and on, the resort needs a major overhaul. Shame on them for charging the prices that they did for the car show weekend, but they obviously knew that rooms were in high demand. I complained to the front desk twice one mentioned there was a new owner after the prior owner died and she would relay my disappointment.

We did a weekend trip and had the most amazing time, my kids love the cabin, playground and the beach area. The beds were super comfortable, cabins were impeccable. We will visit again for sure!

Beautiful place to stay, already planning our next trip here in the spring. Our only complaint was that we had lots of issues with the TV, had to move the cords around in the back to get it to work. Also, we stayed in a three bedroom chalet and the kitchen is not as stocked as you’d think (no oven mitts, baking sheets, scissors, etc), would be nice to have a more furnished kitchen but everything else was amazing!

Clean cabins, wonderful staff. Aside from a funky smell in the bathroom, smelled like dampness, everything was terrific. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you’ll need, the cabin is comfortable/cozy. Would definitely book again.

Initially we were put in a 2 room unit that was very difficult to find, with stairs with no railing, and poor lighting that made us feel unsafe and worried we would not be able to find it after dark. They said they only had a four bedroom for $300-400 more. We are 2 seniors, 82 & 74. We could not handle the stairs multiple times a day & the property is huge. They offered a refund, but said they would give us the 4 bedroom for what we’d already paid, so we stayed. It was ice cold and took hours to heat inc. the two space heaters they brought. We closed off the extra bedrooms to warm the place. The floors were sloping, uneven and 1 room had unmarked steps down- very dangerous. When I asked why there weren’t paper towels in the kitchen area, I was told they have them in the summer when people stay a full week. REALLY?!!! It’s very rustic and probably fine if you like camping, but I would NEVER recommend Depe Dene to anyone.

Great stay. Beautiful property with direct access to the lake and amazing views of the mountains. The staff is very friendly and very efficient in the check in and check out process, all the relevant information was provided in a timely and detailed manner. The cabin itself is very spacious and cozy with two rooms that could fit a small family, it has a small kitchen with almost everything you need to make your stay even more enjoyable (though they could benefit from placing a few wine glasses besides the cups and plates they already have). We did have some issue with the coffee maker as it would turn on but not get hot, nothing major. The tv has cable but is was a hassle to access any streaming services, could benefit from replacing it with a smart tv so that guests can log in into their own accounts if needed. Overall the property met our expectations and we would definitely stay here again once we’re back in Lake George. Thanks.
