  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

This is a great property. Initially we rented a large “suite” but immediately upgraded to one of their adorable cabins just across from the playground and pool. The property has super nice and accommodating staff, plenty of parking and really nice families staying there; some are regulars for 20, 40 years! This is truly a family stay place and we were so happy to have found it. Now we’re planning to return year after year! Two beautiful Adirondack chairs on a quiet little stoop outside of each meticulously cared for cabin; beautiful plants, flower boxes and gardens everywhere and comfortable beds. Can’t say enough!

Room was clean and fairly comfortable but items you routinely have in hotel rooms like soap, shampoo, coffee and a sheet for the futon were missing. Nobody was in the office to assist.
