  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

We have been coming to Surfside for over 10 years and keep coming back. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, eaay check in, and relaxing grounds. We love the option of being poolside or beach side. This time of year we dont go swimming but we still enjoy sitting in the beach chairs to watch the sun rise with a cup of coffee. They are updating the cabana bar! We cant wait to come back next season to check it out! We highly reccomend staying at the Surfside! Walkable to all that Lake George downtown has to offer, shopping, food, arcades, bars, biat tours, ALL OF IT!

This is basically a pretty decent hotel. Its main attraction is that it’s a 2 to 3 minute walk down to the beach. I’m a guy, and I normally don’t notice these things, but the extremely wild colors of the carpet in.the main hallway and decor in the room is a bit much. Otherwise, the room is OK, nothing is extraordinary about it. I am not sure why it was rated an eight on Expedia. I would put it at a 6

This a great hotel, reasonably priced for the area (in early October). With its own beach and pool, and in walking distance to the downtown area, it really can’t be beat! I enjoyed my stay so much that I asked to stay another night and while my current room was unavailable, they let me move straight away into a room downstairs. Both rooms were nice, but had noticeable dust and heavy cobwebs on the walls and lights above the sink; everything else was very clean! My only complaint is that the plumbing/water in the shower is so insanely loud- I could even hear the neighbors. These are minor in the grand scheme, if you are ever in the Adirondacks/visiting Lake George, I highly recommend staying here!!
