Family Friendly Grand Getaway in the middle of Historic Lake Placid!

Location, Location, Location! Our second Getaway in Lake Placid is in the heart of the Hillcrest area of Lake Placid. We are a luxury rental with full amenities and details designed for our Getaway to feel like your home away from home. Fully furnished and outfitted with everything you need to enjoy and create experiences while visiting. Cookies and hot cocoa included along with all linens, towels, soaps, cooking utensils, oil, spices, etc.. We are also a full retreat with customized experiences by John as your Getaway Concierge while staying. John’s advice and service help to make your stay memorable.
We are a fully licensed Short Term Rental Home by the town of North Elba (license number 200406)
PLEASE no parties/loud gatherings. We are in the heart of Lake Placid where many families live, work and play. We must respect our neighbor's peaceful living.

Beautifully furnished and wonderfully equipped home away from home. Incredibly clean with very comfortable beds and very helpful and communicative owner. Would definitely look to book again in the future. Great location as well. No negatives whatsoever. A privilege to stay in.

We decided to go away for Christmas this year and stayed at this lovely home! I was hesitant to be away for Christmas day, but found John’s home to be the perfect “home away from home” for our family! Great location, immaculate unit, and it had everything from a stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms to make our stay perfect! My family will always remember this as one of our favorite Christmas experiences. We had fun iceskating, cross country skiing and downhill at Whiteface. We can’t wait to return!!!

John & Heather’s home was lovely. Photos don’t do it justice. Immaculate, well stocked and close to town! So nice to enjoy the fireplace and take in the beautiful views from the front porch. Hope to return soon!

my husband & i stayed in this wonderful property for 1 month. john was an amazing host, even researched a vegan restaurant for us! the home was exactly as pictured, fabulously quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Main St. easy drive to all the tourist attractions. front porch was heavenly! house had absolutely everything that we needed for the entire month!!

The property is just as advertised - spacious , clean , perfectly decorated with the mountain vibe , everything you ever needed available. Communication with the owner wonderful . We can’t to visit again - this location is peaceful and very close to all of the fun activities! We had an excellent experience at this house! The house was well-maintained, providing a clean and comfortable place throughout our stay. The location was perfect with just a short distance (about 5 min) from town, making it easy to explore local restaurants and shops. The communication with the host was smooth and prompt. They were very responsive and made sure all our needs were met. We appreciated the thoughtful touches in the home that made it feel welcoming and cozy. My friends and I frequent Lake Placid several times a year and this is the first rental that truly felt like a home away from home. It is exactly like the photos; warm, bright and inviting. John is communicable, knowledgeable about the area and was very accommodating. All around, our stay was wonderful. This is going to be our 1st pick for future stays in LP.

Came here for Christmas week with a toddler and grandparents/family. All was as described and the house was very well stocked. Lots of great lighting, nicely decorated. Very close walk to Main Street that involves a hill but we enjoyed it! John was frequently communicating with us. Had a nice stay.

The house is beautiful, comfortable, and just as advertised. The owners have current "things to do" magazines, as well as their own wonderful recommendations. Easy to store our bikes and gear. Great interactions with the owner. Wonderful from start to finish. A true five star experience!

This vacation home had all the comforts of home. The host was very generous in keeping supplies stocked for guests to use upon arrival. I also have to compliment the cleaning crew, John has found a very thorough crew! I felt more comfortable in this home than I have during previous VRBO stays. We enjoyed all of the local restaurants within walking distance, but the kitchen is fully stocked with any pot, pan, or utensil you could need. The house was perfect for our group of 6 with room for more.

We could not have asked for anything more in this rental. We were in town for a figure skating competition and the location was perfect. Having so many supplies at the house like kitchen items, linens and paper products made our trip so much easier! We would highly recommend this rental and hope to be back next year!
