North Cascades Inn

North Cascades Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Clean room. It was a Common room for like a living room/sitting room. Rooms were just a bed and a bath. However, it was very clean and quaint and we really liked it. We liked the layout. Cleaning person was there and helped us a bit, but I think most everything else is done remotely so not a lot of “help” from the staff. We didn’t see anyone else. Overall, a very good feel."

"Simple but very spacious motel room. This motel provided the closest access to the east side of North Cascades/Mt. Baker national park. The room was simple but very spacious with a kitchenette and large living room. We slept well and don’t hear much outside noise."

Cozy Cabin at Javi's Spring with Forest Bath!

Cozy Cabin at Javi's Spring with Forest Bath!

8/10 Good
"We stayed at this cute cabin for one night during our visit to North Cascades National Park.Pros:- The cabin matches the Vrbo photos / description exactly, so we knew what to expect.- Well stocked with what you need for a short stay — kitchen appliances, toiletries, etc.- Located in Cascade River Park, a quiet, gated community surrounded by moss-covered trees.- Host Tracy is very responsive.Cons:- We knew going in that the cabin is off the grid, but the confusing instructions made things harder than they needed to be. It's not that anything was actually hard to find or operate — the instructions themselves were just poorly written. For example: the driving directions were so long and convoluted that it took several back-and-forth messages with the host to figure out how to reach the gated community, even though the place turned out to be easy to find in person. Similarly, the 14-page in-cabin guide (covering electricity, lights, shower, generator, forest bath, etc.) mixed in irrelevant details — like giving instructions for a second, broken generator right below the instructions for the one we were actually supposed to use.- A few hours before check-in, Tracy told us about a propane issue and offered a discount, which we appreciated. But it meant the stove and oven didn't work, and there was no microwave either (understandable given the off-grid setup), which made the stay less convenient than expected."
