The property owners had a well-organized and efficient check-in plan. The process was proactively communicated several days before arrival and all conceivable questions anticipated and answered. Once inside, the home was very well-maintained, the kitchen well-equipped, and certainly adequate to meet all of our family's needs.

We had a blast: breathtaking views, lovely home, a boat for a pleasure, cruises and tubing, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Rosie could not have been more responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely would love to come back.

Great Getaway

Our visit was during the quiet season, at the end of summer. We enjoyed a relaxing view of the lake from both upper and lower porches. The slope of the lot down to the water was doable for 65-70 year olds as long as we took our time. The kitchen was well stocked and the entire home extremely clean. The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had.

Great time !

The house was very pleasing. The views from the porches were beautiful. We cooked most of the time and the kitchen was well equipped and grill worked great. It was extremely clean. Beds were very comfortable. It was definitely a bonus to have the boat available. Weather was fantastic!!

Thanksgiving 2024

Our family of 5 adults and one dog stayed for 4 days. The view was awesome! Two decks and two living spaces were awesome except the upstairs fireplace was not working properly but we were able to enjoy the downstairs fireplace. Kitchen is very small but we had everything we needed. Very clean and cozy. Only complaint was that the owners had security cameras on the outside and you will be watched. FYI.

Beautiful stay.

Rosie and Steve were great to work with. Their property on Lake Toxaway is beautiful. Boat was the reason we booked so we could experience the lake. Boat could use a little tlc but it ran perfectly. I would recommend this property.

Perfectly Peaceful.

We have rented several different places on Lake Toxaway and none have disappointed including this home. Having the boat was absolutely wonderful. The sheets/bed were surprisingly comfortable and I liked the cute mason jar soap dispensers in the bathrooms. Hope to come back again soon.

Beautiful Location

Lake Toxaway is absolutely beautiful. The house is located close to amazing hiking trails and water falls. Our three boys ages 7,9 and 10 had a blast in the boat fishing and tubing! We made lasting memories. The Shades were very good at communicating. We truly enjoyed our stay!!

Restful, peaceful, serene stay

We were here in mid-October. The leaves were just beginning to turn, but the lake and its surrounding area were still fall-beautiful. Not sure how it is in the summer when I'm sure it's busier, but it was very peaceful and quiet while we were there. Just the right amount of crisp air a couple mornings was enough to remind you it was fall. Even though it was only a long weekend stay, we enjoyed every minute. We hope to be back in the future with the extended family.

Had a great stay - house was fantastic. Right on the water! Clean, no issues whatsoever. Wish we'd had more time! 20 minutes from Cashiers, 30 minutes to Brevard, fishing, hiking - perfect spot. If you get time, drive up the mountain in Toxaway - the views from the top are amazing. Highly recommend this house - owners were accessible and answered every question quickly! Great folks and a great spot!
