This place is so lovely, picturesque. It has many great amenities. We came back for a second time with the whole extended family to celebrate my mom's birthday. The kayaks that are touted as part of the joys of staying here, however, nearly turned into a tragic event. We were told in the house guide to be careful not to damage the kayaks on the rocks so we used the provided wheeled carrier to take them to the shore. However, we were not warned that the kayaks had been repaired many times. We learned this after our daughter and son-in-law nearly drowned in Puget Sound when their boat sprang a leak and sank and left them in the middle of a crossing to the state park nearby. After 15 minutes in the freezing water, by the grace of God, a passing boater saw them and rescued them. The sister of the owner and her husband came the next day to check the boats and told us this was our own fault for not checking the boats as they have been repaired for holes many times (by him, not professionally). This place is so beautiful, yet because we came so close to tragedy due to lack of full disclosure by the owners, I cannot recommend this place to others.
