Blackbush Beach Resort
"My spouse and I stayed at Blackbush for 7 days with our furbaby. This is a wonderful hotel, especially for those hoping to enjoy PEI's north facing shores and quiet beach walks (with or without pups!). 1 - Rooms: We booked a standard room and it was the perfect size for a couple. The bedroom & bathroom were both very spacious, and it came with a "sitting" / reading / couch room (very convenient to have your breakfast). I was also very impressed at how clean it was. No dust bunnies in any corners, which is fabulous for my furbaby. 2 - Breakfast: Very good continental breakfast. I would have enjoyed more vegan-friendly labelling, which I hope the hotel could look to add in the future! 3 - Eco-friendliness: Water-filling station & glass bottles in the room fridge was fabulous. Much of the toiletries were not single-use plastic, which was also fabulous. I would have appreciated having a "compost" option for disposal, but totally understand it is not something all guests care about (hopefully in the future, we all do!). 4 - Food options: this is probably the area that shocked us the most. I did not fully appreciate what it meant to have only FIN folk food as our food option (Fluke seemed nice but was not an option because of our furbaby). It would be more convenient if the hotel offered a few food items (vegan inclusive would be fabulous) in the future! 5 - Be prepared to spend $110 a day on taxis to go to Charlottetown :) Worth it to have the beach walks though."

"Very convenient location to explore island and enjoy beach. No elevator and parking lot sometimes overflowing with restaurant guests so those with accessibility needs should think twice about this hotel. Beds are super comfortable and hotel is very quaint and historic. However room amenities are lacking - no TV, no coffee maker, no mini fridge. Restaurant food was excellent however service was inconsistent."
