The location is perfect - right on the seafront, but set back which reduces the noise from the road and walking distance to the old Town. It is a classic Georgian building and beautifully refurbished with lovely large comfortable rooms, complete with fridge and large screen tv. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We have stayed in Hastings many times over 15 years and this is our favourite hotel. "

"My wife and I have been driving around the UK for 2 weeks and found The Tickled Trout to be the best we’ve had. Spotless, The Bed was soo comfortable, Great shower, and the Roast in the restaurant was amazing. We were greeted at check in by Charlie and his female off sider, who both came out to the car park and helped with the baggage. We were taken to our room and shown about. "The Apollo is an old quaint building with a few charming quirks. It is very convenient to the train station, the pier/beach and the funky downtown area. We walked everywhere and felt safe but there was an abundance of litter on the sidewalks from both people and seagulls that tear open and scatter garbage which does not seem to get cleaned up. The proprietor was very nice and the building was secure. While the bed was comfortable, bed linens need to be upgraded. "

"3 of us stayed in the 3 single bed family room on a room only basis the room was extremely clean with en suite shower room. The beds were very comfortable tea and coffee was supplied and when we needed more milk they bought us more. The room also had doors out to a little patio area overlooking a pool with fish and a lawn beyond."

"Wow what a little gem of a hotel with restaurant. Room was amazing, modern, classic and Mediterranean feel in heart of a Kent village. If you get room 8 or 9 you won’t be disappointed. Restaurant food was top notch if a little pricy and the included breakfast was also lovely in quality and flavour. Would pick over a chain hotel any day especially as location has few choices for accommodation."

"The host was acomodating and really helpful. Easily accessible via texts. We never actually saw her. Room was prepared for us and welcoming, refreshments were available on arrival and kid found little fridge greaf. Some little things in there that makes the room not be worth 10/10 like little TV never working or shower leaking so needing to use one of towels to make sure we don't drown neighbours, but we would return providing that the order becomes easier. Unsure if I'd book via hotels.com...

"I had a great stay here at this 3 bedroom house, all 3 bedrooms are rented out, i was in a single room, which was perfectly clean, and adequate for my 3 night stay! Its a shared bathroom, and there is a downstairs toilet! I am a professional cleaner, so for me it could have been cleaner, but it was definately clean enough!!! I would stay again, in fact im hoping to rent all 3 rooms next year!!!"

Everything was truly 1st class, from the beautiful suite we stayed in, the incredible breakfast washed down with bubbly (how decadent) and two of the most generous, warm, interesting and welcoming couple you could ever meet.
