I would suggest you bring a small shovel to clean out he ashes in the fire pit as it was full. The only thing I would suggest to the owner is I would clean the grates in the grill and grease them. However, I would HIGHLY recommend a 4WD. Don’t make the mistake we made and think “oh well, I am a good driver it shouldn’t be an issue”… chances of someone getting up the last few hundred feet with a fully loaded front wheel drive are very slim!! The owner was very pleasant and helpful as we got turned around a couple times getting to the house but once we got our bearings together and with assistance from Nancy we found it. Amazing views of the mountain throughout our stay, not a far drive to town, downtown Mt. Airy is Mayberry! I can go on and on. Really enjoyed our time there."

"We loved the cabin! Very cool and remote. Rave reviews for the cabin and location. The cabin is decorated nicely and lots of memorabilia from the era. We fished the Mitchell and Stone Mountain with just a short drive. Check out process was easy, but could be a little easier to find details and clarity regarding to what to do with linens and trash. The fishing pond doesn't appear to have catchable fish.... or maybe we didn't offer them anything interesting. Thanks! We would recommend this...
