Escape to Artemis Cottage: a luxurious safari retreat in the Texas Hill Country. Nestled on a sprawling 3,700-acre ranch, Artemis Cottage offers an extraordinary getaway blending luxury, adventure, and unparalleled wildlife encounters. Enjoy breathtaking views and the unique opportunity to see wildlife in their natural environment. And included with a stay of 3 nights or more you'll get a once in a lifetime encounter with our tower of six friendly resident giraffes and African white rhino and a 1.5-2 hour tour of the ranch. Where else can one feed and interact with giraffes or feed a white rhino. Unfortunately for 2 night stays we charge an additional $250 for the tour and feeding.

Our stay was awesome. Seeing the animals and feeding the giraffes was a huge hit for the whole group. We had adults and little kids. We caught fish in the pond. The ranch manager was available to help with anything we needed and they were very accommodating. The cottage itself is in really great shape. The pool is not heated, so if you are booking during colder months be prepared for that.

Our family had the time of our lives at Artemis Ranch. It honestly feels like the closest you can get to being on safari without leaving the U.S. The peaceful quiet of the ranch combined with the incredible variety of animals made for a magical stay. Watching the wildlife roam was fascinating, but the highlight for us was getting to feed Tank the rhino – a once-in-a-lifetime experience!Chef Kortney’s meals were absolutely delicious, and every dish was prepared with such care that dining itself became a highlight of the trip. Best weekend getaway

From check in to check out, everything was amazing. The pool was a hit of course. The safari tour in the morning was stellar with Koutney. Feeding the giraffes and seeing tank the rhino was an experience up close n out of this world. My wife had the best birthday ever. The stunning views sunrise and sunset leave you in awe. Amazing Ranch and Cottage in TX Hill Country near Lampasas

Our recent stay in The Vista Cottage on the beautiful Artemis Ranch was incredible! Not only was the cottage - with its pool, hot tub, grille and fire pit outside - perfect for our stay, but the cherry on top was a safari tour led by the ranch owner, Ty, of his amazing ranch filled with exotic animals. We were even able to feed the giraffes and the rhinoceros! We couldn't have felt more welcomed!A huge thank you to the Owners, Ty and Leslie, and to Kaili, the Property Manager.

A perfect family weekend

We spent 3 lovely days over Labor Day weekend at the Artemis Ranch cabin. The cabin is well equipped and our grandson enjoyed the beautiful pool. Ty is a very gracious host. Amazing Time

Ranch is stunning. Started seeing wild animals as we entered the property. Cottage was immaculate with hot tub and pool. Incredible host who took us around the property. The giraffes and rhino were the best! Sat drinking coffee in the morning as the antelope came within 20 yards of the porch. When hiking the animals would stay closer so we could enjoy seeing them. Highly recommend Artemis Ranch!

Sneak away to the wild

We were looking for a peaceful escape and this fit the bill. Everything was as described. It’s a bit of a hike through the property to get to the cabin but that’s definitely part of the charm. Saw several animals, enjoyed the pool, and found everything to be relaxing and comfortable. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

Absolutely Amazing!

This property was nothing less then extradentary! As soon as we entered the gates we were blown away by the beauty of the ranch. This was the perfect family get away to relax and unwind. My children loved all the different animals you can see and interact with, especially, Giraffes, Rhino and Zebras. My children preferred Artemis Ranch over Disney World, we will be back!

PEACEFUL

QUIET, WITH NATURE SOUNDS AND THE BUBBLING OF OUR POOL, STARGAZING FROM OUR HOT TUB. AMAZING SCENERY FROM OUR HILLTOP COTTAGE. TANK THE RHINOCEROUS WAS APTLY NAMED BUT A GENTLE GIANT WHEN WE FED HIM APPLES. GRACEFUL GIRAFFES LOVED THE LETTUCE WE HANDED THEM. This is a wonderful place. The house seems new, and it’s beautiful inside. The exotic animals were all so healthy, and easy to see roaming around. Feeding the 4 giraffes was a lot of fun, and the Grevy zebras were especially unusual for us . If I could, I’d give this place and its very friendly owner 10 stars!

Peaceful, remote and beautiful!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Artemis Ranch! Ty was an excellent host, and the cabin was beautiful. We noticed all of the fixtures and materials used to build this cabin were excellent quality. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The pool was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent after a day of hiking in Colorado Bend State Park. We loved the clear skies and bright stars here as well! Seeing exotic animals roaming around freely was also a treat. What a special place!

Wow, what a place!!!

We spent a few days visiting friends in Lampasas and chose Artemis Ranch as our home away from home. This is the most amazing place with comfortable lodging and amazing views!! From the sunsets, to the hot tub and pool, from walks around this beautiful ranch to the many cool exotics we encountered, I simply can’t say enough good things about this property!! An Amazing Experience!

An amazing getaway not too far out of town!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was very rural and quiet with all the amenities of home and more! The sunsets were spectacular while relaxing in the hillside pool. You will also see exotic wildlife throughout the property. They kids loved going down to the stocked pond and catching fish off of the dock. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place and we will definitely be back. Thanks Ty for opening up your ranch and allowing others to enjoy it!

Wonderful safari cabin!!!!

Me and my family recently stayed in the cottage for three nights and had the best time. The cottage was very modern and clean. We loved the private pool and hot tub. The property is just beautiful and full of free roaming safari animals! The kids (and adults!) loved seeing the animals roaming around. We hiked around and drove around to see them. Ty, the owner, was the nicest man and host and checked in on us. He and another employee took us on a tour to see the animals. We got to feed the rhino and the giraffes and it was all included in out stay. I can't say enough good things about this place and our stay! You definitely should stay here. Zero issues. We will definitely be coming back.

Artemis Ranch and Retreat exceeded our expectations! The stunning views, crystal-clear starry nights, and encounters with exotic animals made our stay unforgettable. Most Unique Stay

I was looking for a rental that was unique and our cabin stay at Artemis Ranch was our best stay in Texas! From the moment you drive in, you’re transported to an African safari. The ranch is massive. We took a 2 hour tour and got to see many exotic animals roaming around free. My boys were in awe of the zebras, the rino and the giraffes, who they got to feed. The cabin was equipped with everything you need including a pool, hot tub and fire pit for snores. My personal favorite was the many little personal touches to make your stay feel special like snacks for the kids and breakfast items. We received VIP hospitality from Ty and Bill which elevated our stay. My sons want to go back for summer break since we didn’t have time to fish. If you’re looking for a unique experience full of excitement, stay here. You’ll have a hard time deciding which activity to do because there is so much and they are all so much fun!

A dream ranch stay

We were looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay in the country and we found Artemis Ranch. We stayed in the cottage on the property and I could immediately tell the difference from other vacation homes we’ve visited in the past. The owners really care about the guest experience. There were 2 bottles of wine and a basket full of snacks for the whole family: coffee pods, chips, candy, etc. The fridge was full of bottled water. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. Everything was top of the line, including the awesome pellet grill. The hot tub was amazing and looking out over the property with the sky at night and the lit trees at the lodge was beautiful. We were able to fish and catch bass in the lakes. I enjoyed hikes on the gravel roads over bridges and hills with great scenery. The best part, however, was Ty (the owner) so graciously taking us on at least a 2 hour tour of the property and all the animals. My 3 boys were just amazed at everything- including feeding the friendly Rhino, Giraffes, and a sweet deer named chocolate. I don’t know how we will ever top this Vrbo- we felt so welcomed and like VIP guests. Ty is a genuine guy who just loves this property, all his animals, and hosting guests- and to quote him “what’s the point of having all this if you can’t share it?” Thank you Ty!! We will be back!
