The Schoolhouse of Arnsdorf is where Franz Xaver Gruber, who was a teacher at the school, composed the melody to Silent Night. It was originally written by Joseph Mohr as a poem in 1818. This is part of the upper floor museum in the school room.

"Amazing house! Could not ask for better and accommodated parents, 3 teens and grandad perfectly. Used as a base to visit Munich (train), Dachau, Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and also local area. Hosts were very easy to communicate with, and the whole process was simple and uncomplicated. Highly recommended place to stay. "

"Uringeruch, Urinflecken auf Bettwäsche und Matratzen. Heizung wird zusätzlich kassiert!!!Dass so etwas als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für den Preis in Deutschland angeboten wird ist beschämend. "

"Trip was cut short due to snow in mountains canceling tours but the property was very close to town so we were able to enjoy great food and drink. Odessa was very pleasant as well and check in was easy. Highly recommend staying here. "

"The hotel, guest rooms, restaurant, and service were excellent. We loved our hotel room - junior suite XL for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. The walk to Old Town area was farther than I thought, but I found a bus stop just outside of the hotel through the OBB mobile app that was fast. You can walk to the train station for more eating options."
