"Everything about our stay was perfect — from the warm welcome and kindness of the staff to the beautiful room decor and excellent amenities. "Hai and Chilly were fabulous hosts, communicative and always happy to assist in any way. As it was winter we opted to stay in the village. The family sized room with 2 king beds and bathroom plus your own seating and hammock out the front situated in lovely gardens was a great place to recover after doing the Ha Giang Loop. Basic breakfast is included, lunch and dinner are available with dinners being shared dishes with other guests which gives the opportunity to meet others. You can hire bikes...

"First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work. "

"Was a great stay. Breakfast on the street is great, rooms spacious and in a cave, very cool. The only resort that I stayed in Vietnam that had hot water. The staff very welcoming and extremely helpful. Shame about the monster resort getting built in front, looking at cranes and building work. "

"The Ireland Hotel is a nice family run hotel. Corner Rooms are bright (there is also internal rooms without windows) and the hotel is generally clean. A few small issues with bulbs not working and TV not working but that is very minor. It’s close to the main “drag” but noise was not an issue. Cat Ba is unfortunately undergoing a lot of construction and modernisation so it’s best to rent a scooter and venture out of town. "

"From check-in to check-out, we felt truly special. The boat is relatively new, so everything on board looks spectacular. Our room had a balcony, offering a dreamlike view of Halong Bay. The activities were enjoyable, but it was the staff who really made the experience exceptional. “Cat,” the nickname of the staff member who attended to us at the restaurant, stood out in particular. The amenities on the boat were incredible from the pool to the playrooms and gym, everything exceeded expectations."

"Uncomfortable bed. Could feel metal wires & they did not give us any linen sheet to sleep with? We were given a thin polyester “quilt” that was not warm at all. I assume this was some type of mistake as the other reviews didn’t mention anything about bad beds. Room was clean, location is good and staff are nice, i just wished they had better sleeping arrangements for a hotel."
