"Make sure you bring food because after the last restaurant closes there is nothing to be had. I suggest they look into getting a vending machine or something for some late night snack options. The view is amazing though and that's why you're there. It's also really close to the park."
"Very clean room, spacious, sunny and stunning views from bedroom. Very clean and well serviced kitchenette. Was wheel chair unit so large bathroom and plenty of space for a wheel chair user.
Pet friendly with doggie friends for our old boy. Very clean outside re no animal droppings, even with the two resident chooks. No animal smell in units at all. Units well aired.
Owners friendly and super helpful re places to see, to eat, shop hours for groceries. So handy to town and Lake Matheson with...
"It is a perfect location for people who has less budget, right in front of Mt Cook, can see the mountains from windows and shared kitchen. The kitchen is good, spacious and convenient with a wonderful view!"
"Comfortable room, very clean with amenities to cook or heat food. Eating options in July are limited because restaurants/ cafes apart from the Hermitage hotel are closed. Best to check this before booking in winter months. We enjoyed the experience of staying in the village at base of Mt Cook."
"We had a cozy suite upstairs with views of the mountains. The bed was so comfortable & the heating worked well including an electric blanket & towel rail. The kitchen downstairs with continental breakfast was also more than we expected. The staff were also lovely. The small town had 3 restaurants & a cafe. We would stay there again & would also recommend."
