Skamania Lodge

"One of the restaurant staff, Jolene, helped me by using the microwave to heat up soup I'd brought from home, because the rooms don't have microwaves. The exercise facilities were minimal, so keep that in mind and maybe plan to be outside, hopefully without poor air quality. The noise level from the fire pits was significant, despite many signs throughout the lodge stating quiet hours begin at 10pm. Something else to keep in mind when booking...if you want to sleep stay in a "resort view" room rather than a river facing room."

"Despite being an older facility they clearly take pride in what they have by keeping it well maintained and well stocked with amenities. The park like grounds are worth the stay as is the view of the mighty Columbia."

"Beautiful tent, super friendly staff, beautiful view, great activities. Only issue was one I am sure the location cannot control - a barking dog off property that kept us up at night. We will definitely try other Under Canvas locations!"

"This is a wonderful property for a large groups. We had seven adults and four children. The 3rd floor bedroom was a great place for the kids, they enjoyed the foosball table and the arcade game. The rest of the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very clean and there were plenty of bathrooms to accommodate everyone. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and we appreciated the large dining table. There were baby gates and a pack and play for our toddler. The older kids enjoyed reading the many children’s books available as well as playing with several board games. The White Salmon River was running right behind the house and was delightful to be able to sit and watch, though a bit too high for swimming. We found that the Trout Lake Creek was a better choice for kids. The property was dark enough that we could do some good stargazing. Our host, Michael, was very responsive. We had several questions and he was always prompt in answering."

"Ruby June Inn was a wonderful place to stay while exploring White Salmon and Hood River. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was quality and delicious. The owners were very helpful in giving us suggestions on activities and places to eat! We also really appreciated the warmth and friendliness of the owners. A perfect weekend get away!"

"This cabin was even better than I expected, and the view was stunning. The big decks were great for picnics/yoga/stargazing, the kitchen was *very* well appointed, and there were thoughtful touches like long charging cords at the nightstands. The one mood killer was the bathrooms/showers could have been cleaner.The place was easy to find and access, and Glenwood is close by for supply runs. Shout out to the woman working at the general store (maybe the owner?) — she was very friendly and welcoming."
