"It‘s a beautiful little hotel with comfort and Charme. The rooms are very nice, well equipped and modern. The staff is just extraordinary. The hotel has a paradise like garden where we had our breakfast. The restaurant is a real Gourmet Restaurant that is just amazing. The best food we had since a long time. Zimmer leider sehr klein mit Fenster direkt am Gang zum Innenhof, so dass man dieses nachts nicht geöffnet lassen konnte. Stattdessen haben wir das Zimmer in der separaten Toilette geöffnet, welches zum Parkplatz hinaus ging."

"The property is absolutely lovely with a beautiful courtyard and a communal lounge area. The location cannot be beaten, you can see Les Arenes at the end of the street and it's just 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the city centre of Nîmes. It is a safe and quiet area too. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The host of the property, Jean-Luc, was so warm and welcoming. He gave us great advice on the area and even booked us a table...

"It was at leats weird. Staff did not speak decent english, just french. The parking is not well signed and it is like 200 meters from the hotel. At night the lights were off l, so getting from the parking to the hotel was not friendly at all. The room was not well clean. We found a fake nail at the bed table, also a rest of an eaten apple behind the window curtain. Also some hairs when we open a bed. "On our visit to the south of France we decided to stop in Nîmes overnight to see the temples and Roman Coliseum. We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn. If we travel to Nîmes again, we will not hesitate to return to this hotel"

"This eccentric BnB is off the beaten path and quite delightful. No restaurants within walking distance, but there is a grocery store nearby, and our suite had a refrigerator and dishes. The property isn’t as tidy as in the photos, but it didn’t detract from our stay too much. The parking area is secured by a gate for which we received a clicker. Catherine served us breakfast each morning and it was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much."
