A wonderful country retreat midway between Langs Beach and Weipu. Our room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Our hosts, Lisa and Antony, were very attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome. A scrumptious continental breakfast is provided with all of the makings being homemade. Two very scenic walking trails are a short distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the farm and recommend it to those visiting the North Island of New Zealand

Almost brilliant

Exceptionally welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast, wonderful farm surroundings, brilliantly quiet - just a pity that the room did not have a television (though there was one in the common lounge downstairs) or air conditioning, that there was only one quite thick doona and no alternative bedding, and that the shower did not have a curtain or screen.

The property itself has a vintage beauty just five mintures drive to the beach and hiking trails. The servie is the best I've has in New Zeland. Lisa was a lovely host. She greeted us with wine & cheese. They brought fresh coffee grounds up to our room before we went down for breakfast.

The Best Ever

The best ever! The Country Homestead at Black Sheep Farm was a superb experience. Everything exceeded expectations as we spent two nights in the company of two exceptional hosts, with their warm and welcoming family, on a working farm, which offered incredible views, delicious breakfasts, homemade sweets, treats, breads and juices, a spacious suite, a comfy bed, perfect espresso, local wines, great conversations, and helpful guidance when discussing where to visit, how to get there, and what to see along the way. The location offers access to beautiful beaches and great restaurants just minutes away, while also providing the relaxing setting that comes with enjoying a perfect country retreat.

A real jewell

This property was simply wonderful in all respects. The location in such a natural setting is truly unique. It is accessible in minutes to some of the most beautiful areas we saw in New Zealand during our 3,500 km drive (east coast and midlands) from Dunedin to here. Within an hour are amazing sites along the west coast. Owners are delightful. All expectations were exceeded.

Great Stay

Anthony and Lisa were great hosts! They greeted us warmly, gave a tour of the wonderful home and property, and then poured us some wine to toast our first night in NZ. The Sheep Farm and surrounding areas are stunning. Additionally, Anthony gave us great nearby hiking recommendations. The morning breakfast that was served was delicious.

Great B and B in Waipu.

Beautiful BandB in beautiful Waipu. Minutes to the beach. Lisa and Anthony the host are friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed staying here on our last day in New Zealand. Great accommodation and lovely breakfast in the morning. Nice to mingle with the family. Recommend for sure!!
