"This is a beautiful home in a very private neighborhood. The photos do not do this home justice; it is much more elegant, clean, and well-situated than a picture can capture. I will say you do need a car. While there are advantages to staying outside of Madrid (about 1.15 hours) for access to the nearby supermarket and restaurants, one needs a vehicle despite the short distance. There is no other way to get to this town with the restaurants and supermarkets without a vehicle. Regarding access to Madrid and other nearby locations, there is a train station about a kilometer from the home, which is a lovely walk and easy access to Madrid; however, if you are traveling with luggage, the walk to the train is not convenient. Nonetheless, if you do not plan to carry luggage, the walk is nice, and the train is a convenient way to access Madrid without dealing with traffic. Finally, the property caretaker, Esteban, was absolutely a delight. He made every effort to make our stay comfortable and assisted us with all requests. Of all the times we rented a VRBO home, we have not had this level of service.
