10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the ac worked well. The beds were comfortable and nice feather down duvets and feather pillows. It was nice that the windows opened for fresh air especially when the weather was nice. The hotel offers a nice full buffet breakfast with eggs (to order), sausage, bacon, breads/pastries, fruits, yogurt and more which we added on and took advantage of upon arrival. There is a small grocery store and bakery around the block and a larger grocery store about 10 mins walk. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within 10 mins walk of the hotel and a beautiful park just up the block. The area was great - very walkable. I will stay here again on my next trip to Hamburg."

"The price I paid for a room and breakfast was about £73 per night which I thought was excellent value for money. The bedroom was rather basic but it did include a king sized bed with two separate duvets. The bathroom facilities were rather cramped but did include a walk-in shower. The hotel itself was away from SBahn and UBahn stations but they were walkable. The number 3 bus however gave easy travel from the Hauptbahnhof, although the stop was not easy to locate, to the hotel. As the hotel was in a one way street the return stop into the city centre was in the next road but easily located. Breakfast was the usual self service. There was no restaurant for other meals but there were self-service facilities to purchase food and drinks. However the sandwiches did run out. So I would describe this more as a snack service. However there were many eating establishments in the city centre."

"Room was clean, as were the separate toilet and shower facilities. It was just that I had economised too much. I should have paid extra for a proper room with a private bathroom and ample room for my luggage. Staff were really good and helpful. There was a reasonable bar in the wider reception area. This was also the area where a buffet breakfast was served. It was an "eat all you can" buffet, but the choice was very limited. No hot food at all. And the room was too small to accommodate all the guests. It was available only from 800am onwards, which was too late if I wanted a full day out."
