"The elevator is a big plus when arriving tired. Everyone was friendly and helpful, though we didn't really need much assistance. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well and the bath was both roomy and had ample space around the sink to leave out tooth brushes, deodorant, etc. Thought close to the highway, our room was quiet and I didn't notice any traffic noise, though with the AC on we kept the window shut. The carpet was a bit worn, but otherwise a good place to spend the night. The location is a bit out of town, though within walking distance of a large shopping "mall" or hypercenter. When we're touristing, we normally eat at area restaurants, so I cannot comment on breakfast, but a quick peek revealed lots to choose from."

"We have probably hired more than 30 gites and houses over the years in France, and this was right up there. No matter which window you look out of, you're greeted by gorgeous and unspoilt farmland wrapping 360 degrees around this lovely, creakily characterful old house. It's completely private and the silence is perfect. We stayed in late June, when the termperatures hit 42C for a couple of days, with the result we stayed immobile by the fabulous pool for most of the time. Jan was helpful and responsive to our dumb questions. The local town was very sleepy but has a useful Carrefour, a petrol station and a boulanger. Larger towns are 15-30 mins away. So if your idea of bliss is to descend on a lovely old house, with a pile of books and a case of wine, this is for you."
