Our authentic Rustico is located outside the village (10 minutes on foot) at the end of the motorable road, in the agricultural zone.
Ancient chestnut trees give the beautiful garden with various seating areas a special ambience. The studios are very personalised and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Kitchenette with two ceramic hobs, fridge and everything you need for holiday cooking. For single occupancy, the second bed can be pushed underneath to save space. The Redwell heating can be set to the desired temperature using a thermostat. The separate shower/WC room also has a double casement window. Tall guests appreciate the room, which is open right up to the stone roof and gives a "house feeling". Guests feel at home here.
What makes Pianezza particularly attractive?
Here is one of many unsolicited comments from guests: "Dear Mrs Reichstein, although we are now physically back home, our thoughts are still somewhat in Pianezza.... You really have created a wonderful place! We really liked it, we felt at home in the studio and of course in the garden. Weather-wise, we had the perfect week. We hiked a lot and cooled off in the ice-cold Maggia between Menzonio and Brontallo.
Our hiking tours took us
- high up via Scinghiöra to the cross of Monte die Cima - a magnificent view and two griffon vultures very close above us
- into the Bavona Valley - hike from Foroglio into Val Calnegia and back - an impressive valley with wonderful spots
- from Pianezza to Broglio on the Maggia and back
- from Fusio to Lago Mognola - also a wonderful, varied and exciting circular hike.
Of course, we also enjoyed a delicious "polenta with all sorts of things" in the Grotto Pozzasc - following your tip.
All in all, it was a perfect week in Ticino. We will certainly keep your address in mind and recommend it to others. L.+S. "
