The hotel was close to the airport, the room was clean and the staff good. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1960's with no updates. The structure is tired and in desperate need of modern updating.

My stay at the Hotel Fleur D’épée was marvellous. The reception staff as well as the dining and cleaning staff were professional, courteous and polite. I made the right choice to sta at this hotel. I was ver pleased with the staff in general. I will return to Guadeloupe and I will stay again at the Hotel Fleur d’épée. Kudos to you all . Thank you

The service was great for most of my stay. There is an employee at the bar who definitely needs sensitivity training. Tourists be aware!

The public area noise was overwhelming, and amplified noise continued each night until at least 11 pm. The food for breakfast left much to be desired, and the dinner options were very limited: either a tired buffet or a pleasant cafe at the water's edge with limited food options. We will not return or advise friends to visit Fleur d'Epee.

Property itself is beautiful, beach right there, nice big pool. Staff were often rude, as if they are not happy being there. No ability to get anything to eat once restaurant hours are over, only eating option is the all-inclusive which we did not get (i.e. no a la carte options) You need a car if you want to go anywhere - nothing worthwhile is within walking distance Nightly "entertainment" is non-existant - one poor guy trying to get people to dance to outdated music But...we made the most of our 4 days there by enjoying the sun and water

This property is situated very nicely. We understand they had been closed for quite a while, so conditions seemed to reflect that. Its a lovely setting with beach, pool, sidewalks, lots of open air in the public spaces. Our first day the pool was closed--very disappointing. Our first night into the following morning there was no water. The airconditioning in the room was very weak. Sometimes a definite musty smell in the hallways. Cleaning in the room and outdoor balcony definitely not thourough. Wonderful waterfront restaurant for evening dining.

No wifi in room. We had to walk outside just to text family back. WiFi availability and noise depends on room you get. I paid more for an upgraded room and it ended up being overall worse.

It's unfortunate that this hotel, located in such a lovely setting, is so poorly maintained. Upon arrival we were assigned a room that was damp and musty smelling but we decided to make the best of it. On our third day we returned to the room to find a small pond had formed under the A/C unit. Maintenance came and cleaned up. Within two hours the dripping had begun again. The second maintenance man sealed the drip pan with duct tape and said he would return the following day to fix the problem. I believe the drain was in need of clearing, something every home owner knows must be done regularly, but my high school French doesn't extend to HVAC terminology. Needless to say, the duct tape didn't hold through the night and at 3 am we were again listening to the incessant dripping. Thank goodness there was a spare room available and we were able to move our things. The new room, though an upgrade, was equally damp and musty. Surely they can do better.

Needs renovation

Surroundings are wonderful. Nice garden and lovely beach with coconut trees. Breakfast and dinner fine. Staff friendly. Room was not ready at check in time. We had to wait for an hour to get it. The hotel itself is very worn. Our room had a not so nice odeur. For the price you would expect a higher quality hotel.

Les extérieurs et l'emplacement de l'hôtel sont top... Le personnel que ce soit l'accueil,le bar,le restaurant de plage, le restaurant buffet sont vraiment sympathique et accueillant... Par contre côté chambre il y a du travail à faire, cela est là deuxième fois que je viens dans cette hôtel et malheureusement pas grand chose à changer au niveau des chambres... Nous avons eu une première chambre côté parking avec une climatisation qui ressemblait plus à un gros tracteur... et nous avons eu une autre chambre côté piscine et vue mer, dommage que pas de ventilation dans la salle de bain et comme nous étions au dessus du restaurant nous avions les effluves à chaque repas... C'est vraiment dommage mais il faudra penser à mettre de la ventilation dans la salle de bain et ne pas mettre la même que celle du restaurant...

Cet hôtel est superbe, la vue mer depuis notre chambre était fabuleuse et vaut le supplément. Le personnel est exceptionnel par sa gentillesse et sa promptitude à aider. Très apprécié: le jour du départ, un local verrouillé pour les bagages, mais aussi équipé de douches et d"une balance-bagages ! Parking un peu trop petit. Seul bémol, la restauration difficile quand on n'est pas en all inclusive (le midi, kiosque de plage avec quelques salades sous blister de supermarché). Nous reviendrons avec joie.

Very poor conditions of the rooms. Rusty, old and damaged bathrooms. Need complete renovation. Same for the hallways. In the bathroom the sewer smell was very strong. The staff was friendly and the breakfast good, location is decent but the rooms were awful

Chambre non rénové et insalubre, douche pas nettoyer, cheveux sur le pommeau de douche. Le buffet assez ordinaire, bacon pas assez cuit, des oiseaux sur la nourriture au buffet. Points positifs: la plage est grande et l’eau est splendide, avec chaises longues et parasol en grande quantité.
